Double Indemnity Book Review
Finally at the end of this audiobook, and I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it? I REALLY wanted to like it thanks to so many great reviews I’ve seen already. I really wanted to like it even more as it has numerous mentions of life insurance, policy language, and types of coverage that I work with on a daily basis (I totally geeked out over ALL of that). The Real Enemy Book Review
A very entertaining story of a big city cop who moves to a small fictional town in East Tennessee and immediately forced to handle a kidnapping case. Only it’s not one kidnapping…it’s seven. Add to this the fact that she and her husband are living a farce of a marriage after his infidelity, and they’re both trying to hold everything together for the sake of their kids. The Sound of Red Returning Book Review
Except for a little bit of a lull in the middle, I thoroughly enjoyed this story! The main female character cast as a gifted concert pianist was enough to sway me to read it, and I loved the scenes where she was completely in her element performing. A love story snuck its way in about midway through, and it contrasted well against the manhunts and fear lurking around every corner. There were WAY more surprises and twists than I expected which only made it that much interesting the further I read. The ending set itself up nicely for future books in the series. Highly recommend!
