Jewelry Stories from The Reluctant Bridegroom

Thank you so much for joining me for the latest edition of Jewelry Stories! I hope you are enjoying as we peek a little further into the pages of my latest reads to find some jewelry treasures.

For this post, I’m featuring a book I found by happenstance at my local library – The Reluctant Bridegroom by Shannon Farrington. I’ve always enjoyed the books that were a part of the Love Inspired Historical line, and sadly, they have discontinued it. There’s still plenty of them out there that I haven’t read – oh, to have more hours in the day (I know you know how I feel). 🙂

I have grabbed a couple of excerpts from this book for you below. While I don’t have an excerpt for it, it may intrigue you to know that this story starts with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, and the hero of the story believes he is being considered as a suspect in the murder. Edge of your seat suspense with the history – a double win! Take a quick peek at the review I did a few weeks back for more info.

Hope you have a good time with today’s Jewelry Stories from The Reluctant Bridegroom!

Knowing red roses would be insincere, he chose a pale pink bouquet. He hoped his fiancée would like it.

Kathleen buried her nose in the purple petals, then grinned. “Here now,” Rebekah said, “we’ll put them in your hair. Then you’ll be a fairy princess.

To learn he hadn’t actually commanded the balloon was not a disappointment to her. Whatever involvement he had she still found fascinating. “What exactly did an assistant do?”

“I drew maps, sent telegrams.”

“From the balloon?”

He nodded,. . .

“Do the blooms really look like little hot air balloons?” Trudy asked.

“Indeed they do,” said Julia. “They are floating all over my garden right now.”

Rebekah did her best to keep back her emotions, but all she could think of was the night Henry had told her about his service in the aeronaut corps. How much she had wanted to float through the clouds with him!

I hope you loved this latest installment of Jewelry Stories! I especially had a wonderful time creating that Hot Air Balloon Pendant, and the blue beads make me envision one floating among a pretty blue sky. The heroine, Rebekah, had a great love of flowers, so I couldn’t help but draw upon two different segments to create some pretty flower jewelry.

I have such fun things coming for the next few Jewelry Stories posts! If you aren’t already a subscriber, take a minute to sign up for my email list so you can get notifications when the next one goes live.

Until next time!
