My Thoughts

Bad Taste is a lighthearted tale about three women all living under the same roof who are trying to solve the mystery of house break-ins in their community. Each time a new victim is affected, the burglar comes in to rearrange their decor, but never steals anything! The main character, Maude, thinks these real life experiences are great inspiration for the latest novel she’s trying to write. But in order to write, she’s got to keep her mother-in-law from trying to do the sheriff’s job and her daughter from eating her way into depression.

This started off as a slow read, but gradually gained momentum and I found it to be quite enjoyable. The lessons Maude learns along the way about her prideful heart were well-placed, and I found myself applying that wisdom to my own life. Definitely interested in continuing this series to see what happens next in the little town of Morning Shade!
