Diagnosis Death Book Review
Medical mysteries are not normally a genre that I gravitate toward, but I picked this book as a random read on my Kindle, and I’m oh-so-glad I did! It took me less than 24 hours to read Diagnosis Death from start to finish because there are suspects galore with a mystery that is begging to be solved.
I have long believed that certain books come into our lives at just the right time. The main character, Elena, is experiencing a crisis of faith in this story after the recent death of her husband. While I am thankfully not going through the same thing, I am dealing with a similar faith struggle when it comes to prayer. I don’t believe it was an accident that I picked up this novel at this moment (and several other ones that I have come before it recently). There was a moment when Elena was speaking to her friend and he explained that listening to God is just as important as talking to Him. That’s such a simple concept, but a powerful one that spoke deeply to me.
Yes, Diagnosis Death has ALL the things you would expect from a suspenseful story, and it has them in spades. If you’re like me, you’ll think you have the bad guy pegged pretty easily, but there’s actually two, and the second one was a COMPLETE surprise! Even though this book has been sitting on my Kindle for at least 10+ years, it was my first experience reading this author and I’m ready for more!
