Jewelry Stories from the Amish Journeys Series
Welcome to the latest edition of Jewelry Stories! I’m so happy you’re here today, and thrilled to share this series with you and what I was inspired to create after reading each book in the Amish Journeys Series by Beth Wiseman.
Today’s post is going to be a little lighter than usual as I had TWO Jewelry Stories posts last week – and I won’t lie, that was hard work! If no one ever told you that running a blog was hard, much less having a side business with it, they weren’t being honest with you. It’s almost like a second full-time job!
Anyway…I digress.
As you can see from the covers above, this post focuses on the Amish Journey Series written by Beth Wiseman. The Amish do not wear jewelry, believing it to lead them into prideful behavior so I knew that would not be an option. However, each book seemed to have one theme present, and designing bookmarks seemed a much more fitting way to go than jewelry.
In Hearts in Harmony, the book focuses on Levi’s sudden interest in playing the piano which is forbidden in Amish culture.
In Listening to Love, Natalie has a strong desire to be a veterinarian. After an impromptu horse ride, she must decide if this is the career path she wants to take.
In A Beautiful Arrangement, Samuel and Katie are thrown into a quick wedding and marriage after getting pregnant at a very young age. They must learn how to love and court each other while also raising a baby.
With each of these stories, I wanted to highlight one tiny aspect from each book (the silver charm), try to keep it simple with the beads, yet give it an elegant design (the tassel). Hopefully, you like the combination of elements as much as I did when assembling them!
Click here to see more photos of each bookmark, and I’d love to know what you think about them! Feel free to leave a note in the comments below.
Thank you so much for joining me for another edition of Jewelry Stories! If you aren’t already a subscriber, take a minute to sign up for my email list so you can get notifications when that next post goes live.
