My Thoughts
Too many things are unexplained in the small town of Walker Creek. Strange disappearances, mysterious deaths, and too many secrets all make the townspeople wonder what is afoot. A young medical student also longs to be reunited with the love of his life…only she’s more interested in her father’s latest paleontological dig and drawing the dinosaur fossils they find.
This new series from Kimberley Woodhouse is unlike anything else in the Christian historical fiction genre. Not only has she penned a tale featuring the competitive Bone Wars, she’s also included a character who is battling mental illness (a la Primal Fear). Those two things alone make this a most interesting tale. It does start out a bit slower than her usual novels, but the second half is full of such heart-pounding action that the pages cannot be turned fast enough!
Highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves more unusual history and/or has a fascination with dinosaurs!
