Finally at the end of this audiobook, and I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it? I REALLY wanted to like it thanks to so many great reviews I’ve seen already. I really wanted to like it even more as it has numerous mentions of life insurance, policy language, and types of coverage that I work with on a daily basis (I totally geeked out over ALL of that). The Metropolitan Affair Book Review
My expectations were probably higher than they should have been when I started reading this book. So many of my reader friends have raved over it, and with good reason. But for me, I struggled to make it through the first 2/3rds of the story. There were several moments that could have been tightened up to make it a shorter, more engaging novel.
