Beige Beaded Cross Tassel Necklace

A beautiful tassel necklace with a unique story to go with it. ♥

In 2020-2021, I had the pleasure of participating in a Traveling Bead Box where lots of jewelry makers shared and swapped beautiful jewelry beads, pendants and components with each other. This book traveled ALL over the US to so many makers. The tassel that you see was part of that box, and is the focal point of this necklace.

Directly above the tassel is a papier-mâché type bead that also has a story of its own. A dear friend of mine inherited lots of beaded jewelry recently, and she graciously asked me if I was interested in any of it. After seeing what she had, I saw loads of possibilities that I could repurpose down the road. I grabbed this papier-mâché type bead from one of those designs.

The necklace strand consists of shiny beige seed beads, shiny faceted gold rondelle beads, and beige cross beads. It measures approx. 27″ long and is finished off with a lobster claw clasp.

This necklace is one of a kind, and cannot be duplicated in my craft studio.
