Cranberry Red Velvet Ribbon Bookmark with Journal Charm

Description

This velvet ribbon bookmark measures 10″ long which is the perfect length to slide into a trade size paperback novel.  On one end is a mini journal charm with an elastic tie around it and real pages inside.  On the other end is a beautiful teardrop charm full of curly flourishes and a white pearl glass bead surrounded by metal bead caps on either side.  The ribbon is a gorgeous shade of cranberry red with a shabby fringe edging, but is sewn on each side to prevent fraying.

This bookmark was inspired after reading the following passage from 12 Days at Bleakly Manor by Michelle Griep –

He smiled down at her, then angled his head toward a leather-bound book on the mantel, a single red ribbon peeking out from the pages. “Thankfully, I discovered a library in the east wing and have taken refuge in the pages of a book, escaping any direct hits myself.”
