Beaded Jute Twine Bookmark with Bucket Charm

Description

Pure simplicity, but layered with such meaning.

This simple bookmark measures 10″ long and is made of jute twine. On one end is an antique gold bucket charm witha moveable handle. On the other end are two dyed orchid blue beads, a multi-colored blue lampwork bead, and two tiny antique gold metal beads.

This design was inspired by the following passage from Strength in the Storm by Laurel Blount –

“Mamm used to remind us that we should work on filling our hearts with all the good we could, because whenever a bucket gets jostled, it’s whatever’s inside that spills out. And usually it splashes on whoever’s the closest.”
