A (nearly) Normal Nanny Book Review

About the Book

Normal is highly overrated…

…Unless you’re Mari Jenkins. Her life growing up was anything but normal, and she’s making up for that as an adult. She has a new job as a nanny of twin girls, a weekly schedule, and a detailed ten-year plan, and nothing will get in the way of her meeting every one of her goals. Especially not a man, who isn’t allowed to appear in her life until around year eight or so on the plan.

Until that is, the twin’s uncle, Brandon Stone, shows up and douses her life with a whirlwind of crazy. Not only is he a lover of all things spontaneous, he is also the drummer for the award-winning Country music artist she’s had a fangirl crush on for years.

Suddenly, normal doesn’t look quite so enticing.

A fun romantic comedy sequel to A (kinda) Country Christmas and A (sorta) Southern Serenade perfect for those who like inspirational or Christian Romance!

My Thoughts

How is it that this adorable series keeps getting better with every book?! I don’t know how in the world I will be able to say goodbye to these fun characters when I reach the end of the series with the next book.

I have loved Mari since my first introduction to her. She tries so hard to help her mom with her Christmas shop when it’s just the two of them, and then things get turned upside down when mom finds a guy and gets married! Mari then has to figure out what her life will look like on her own, and she’s more than ready to spread her wings. I loved seeing her in this role as nanny to two energetic twins, and they sure do adore their Uncle Brandon. When he and Mari meet for the first time, the sparks (er, stars!) definitely flew – and not in the way you’d expect!

Even though Mari and Brandon share a living space for a good portion of this book, their budding relationship is presented in a classy way with both of them recognizing they need to be on their guard before things went too far.

Krista Phillips has firmly placed herself on my favorite author list, and I can’t wait to discover more of her stories when this series comes to an end!
